In order to avoid errors, we DO NOT accept requests for repeat prescriptions by telephone. All presciption requests must be made in writing or via our online system.
Patients can register for our Online Services which will enable you to order repeat medications online. Patients must be over the age of 16 and have their own email address. Please ask at reception for details on how to register.
Treatment cards for routine medications are issued by your doctor and can be used to order further prescriptions. Please allow two working days for the request to be processed (enclose a stamped addressed envelope if you wish us to post it). If you do not have a treatment card you can still request your medication by writing it on a slip of paper along with your name, date of birth and address.
If you require a medication which is not listed on a treatment card, please make an appointment with your doctor to discuss it.
Patients can arrange for a pharmacy to pick up their prescription directly from the surgery. Please contact reception for details. A repeat dispensing or ‘batch system’ is available for patients on repeat prescriptions who use the same pharmacy each time. A batch of prescriptions is issued and then lodged with your chosen pharmacy. The system has the advantage in that you can have a prescription dispensed early if you are going away. Patients generally need to see their doctor for a check-up before the next batch is issued.
