Book an Appointment
Important
Surgeries are always by appointment with the patients named accountable GP, or their registrar, for medical care. Patients at Rusthall Medical Centre will be triaged via Anima for appointments.
More urgent problems can usually be seen within 24 hours.
Urgent But Not Life Threatening
Please complete a form on Anima and we will contact you with the next steps once a doctor has triaged your form.
Book a Routine Appointment
If you have a non-urgent problem and can wait 1 to 8 weeks to be seen.
Ways to book
The receptionist may ask for a brief outline of your problem when you call the surgery. This is known as care navigation

Sickness Certificates (Fit Notes)
You must give your employer a doctor's 'fit note' (sometimes called a 'sick note') if you've been ill for more than 7 days in a row and have taken sick leave. This includes non-working days, such as weekends and bank holidays.
Travel Vaccinations
Information and advice for travelling abroad.
Home Visits
Please be aware that our GPs will always call to assess the home visit request first.
Requests for home visits should be made before 11.00am.
The receptionist may need to ask for some details of the problem. Please consider the necessity for a home visit; a child with a high temperature can safely be brought to the surgery where a more complete assessment is possible.
Home Visits are intended for the housebound and those too ill to travel. Requests for urgent medical attention which may involve a home visit are referred to the duty doctor.
Appointment SMS Reminders
The Practice also provides a text reminder service for those patients who have provided us with a valid mobile number. Patients will automatically receive a text with the appointment details. If patients are unable to attend it is possible to text back CANCEL which automatically cancels the appointment.
